Made to Order (MTO) – What does “made to order” mean?

MTO is the manufacturing process in which the production of an item begins only after a confirmed customer order is received. We only start making your item(s) once you have placed your order. We hold no stock, nor do we produce products beyond need.

Price – Why are Neonimo products more expensive than some high street prices?

The disadvantages of made to order is that it’s more costly than mass-produced products and the wait time for finished products can be a little longer, but on the flip side, the HUGE advantages of MTO include the reduction in stock obsolescence and overall waste which is really important to Neonimo. If that’s important to you too, then you will appreciate the made to order model. The other massive benefit of MTO is that not many people will have the same thing, which means that you’re going to get some pretty unique pieces when you order Neonimo!

All our products are hand-assembled in the UK by craftspeople. This means that when you buy Neonimo, you get bold, distinctive, well-crafted designs and products that are sustainability conscious and built to last. Our products are the opposite of “fast fashion”

Independent Art – What is an independent artist?

Neonimo can be called an independent artist or an independent designer. Independent artists, designers and craftspeople are individuals that design and make a wide array of art pieces and products without being part of large, industrialised businesses. The designs created generally include works and art pieces that are individual to that creative individual. These products may include artworks, jewellery and other fashion accessories, ceramics, clothing, glass art, metalwork, furniture, cosmetics, handicrafts, and more! Artists, designers and craftspeople that create in this way are sometimes said to be part of the “indie design movement”. Find out more about Neonimo.

Returns and Refunds – What can I return and how do I do it?

Neonimo operates a made to order model, whereby we only make things that you order – that’s why it’s really important that you read product descriptions and carefully order the correct size and quantity of what you’d like to order. We are unable to offer returns or refunds if you change your mind, however, we would of course offer you a refund if you receive damaged or faulty items.
